I finished my spring semester, somewhat victorious. One A and one B. Better than two B's! Most importantly, the A was in the class for which I completed my thesis proposal. So greenlight go on my thesis! Huzzah!
In other excellent news: it's summer! Yay yay yay summer!
Have you seen any good summer movies? I've only seen Iron Man 2, and I was not impressed. Maybe hopefully I'll see something else tonight.
Have you seen Charmalade's vacation pics? She's in Thailand. SO BEAUTIFUL!

Woohoo! Congratulations on the excellent marks!
ReplyDeleteAnd thank you for the nice note - my hands are still sore but far less swollen and actually functional. I'll hopefully be banging away at drums soon. I have not seen any movies yet but am hitting SATC 2 w/my girlfriends and a purse full of wine juice boxes this week. (so classy).
Yay for A's!! I got all three, A B & C. I just like to keep it well-rounded :) I haven't seen anything but my Mom tells me Robin Hood is good... so maybe see that? I dunno the general reviews weren't good. I think my mom is just a sucker for Russel Crowe in tights ;)
ReplyDeleteYaaayyy for good grades!! I'm so happy you did well!! I'm so happy that its warmer and I can wear dresses without tights!! What are you looking forward to the most this summer?

Good grades are the best. Congratulations.

Fantastic! I am seriously interested in the progress on your thesis. Not only due to the interest of the content to me, but I am such a research nerd!
ReplyDeleteWoot! Woot!
ReplyDeleteBetween my dissertation and teaching schedule I haven't been to the movie theater since --erm -- January. But since I'm submitting to the grad school next Tuesday I should make it out a bit more in the near future.
yay way to go friend!!
ReplyDeleteFirst off: HUZZAH AND YAY for your good grades! What a particularly sweet way to end the school year and blissfully welcome summer with open arms. :D
ReplyDeleteAnd aww, you didn't like Iron Man 2? I actually thoroughly enjoyed the ride more than I should've. I mean, yeah I know it has its flaws (wayyy too many characters), but RDJ is just hella fun, I can't lie. Not really looking forward to any of the other summer flicks now. Shrek 4 and... Prince of Persia? ehhhhh
I hope you can forgive me for posting that song in my latest post. But you have to admit it's catchy, right? Right? But aw shucks, I'm really giddy that you mentioned my Thailand pictures in your post. :) danke!
Toast with Charmalade
Congratulations on your grades. Yes, hot weather is finally here, and I could not be happier! Thanks for stopping by my blog. :)
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on your excellent/stellar grades! I stopped by your blog after reading your profile. I graduated with a BA in sociology, so I knew I had to stop by and see what you're up to on your blog!
ReplyDeleteHave a great Memorial Day!

Congrats, Emily!!!
ReplyDeleteps- I saw "Robinhood" and loved it, but that's mainly me being a big Cate Blanchet and Russell Crowe fan ;) It's predictable and totally historically inaccurate, but great because of it!
My bf and I also just watched "North Face" on Netflix. It's the most intense movie I've ever watched. It's about a German and Austrian team scaling the North Face of the Eiger in the alps during the 1930s-- all true. Really well acted, but so intense I couldn't go to sleep afterward. Let me know if you watch it ;)
Congratulations! You totally deserve the good grades considering how hard you worked. Yay! Take advantage of your summer and relax, relax, relax :)
ReplyDeletePARTY TIME, EXCELLENT! woowowwooowowowoo :D
ReplyDeleteOooh, yayay on the grades! It feels so great to have summer and to be done with classes!
ReplyDeleteGO YOU!! and yes, summer is here full force, loving it!
